Gina Mikan
Massage Therapist

Birth Doula
Registered Nurse
Gina completed a 1,000-hour Massage Therapy course and certification in Puerto Rico and has attended continuing education courses for Lymphatic Drainage Therapy and Visceral Manipulation. She has been the sole proprietor of Exhale Healing Arts since 2006.
Gina entered the world of raw foods and colon health in Puerto Rico at the Ann Wigmore Natural Health Institute - the pioneer of the Living Foods Lifestyle® - where she worked as a Massage Therapist from 2007-2011. There she developed a new relationship to food and its ability to heal, cleanse and rebuild the body. Fed up with years of recurrent bladder infections and antibiotics, Gina cured her next bladder infection with diet, colonics and herbs and forewent antibiotics for the infections that followed. Inspired to help more people, she became a Certified Colon Hydrotherapist on the Wood's Gravity System at the Wood Hygienic Institute in 2010.
Her love for adventure and education is the magic potion that continues to carve Gina's path. In 2009 she spent 3 months in India to attend a Yoga Instructor Certification and travel the southern countryside on the back of a 1980 Royal Enfield Bullet. Since moving to NYC in 2011, she has performed over 4,000 colonics, worked at a raw food restaurant, completed a 200-hr alignment-focused Yoga Teacher Training, studied Yoga for Back Care and Scoliosis and completed a Doula training. Gina completed nursing school in 2020 and is now a Registered Nurse in New York. Her dream is to work at a facility that integrates holistic and allopathic approaches, to become a travelling nurse, and to work abroad.
